Planning a wedding that is more unconventional than traditional? Then Indie Wed is for you! Here’s your chance to win a pair of tickets to Indie Wed, Chicago’s very first independent wedding fair!
Indie Wed is a unique wedding show and sale that features independent, modern, edgy, and eco-friendly wedding vendors. Indie Wed will be take place on:
Saturday, January 30th, from 11AM to 5PM at the 
Ravenswood Event Center,
4025 N. Ravenswood Ave., Chicago, IL.
To enter to win two tickets to Indie Wed, post your favorite indie wedding website and why you like it in a comment below, before the end of the day on Saturday, January 9, 2010. The Knot doesn’t count! Not that there’s anything wrong with The Knot, but I’d like to get exposure for sites that are a bit more unknown.

I’m already planning on attending Indie Wed (and looking forward to it!) but I thought I’d share some of my favorite wedding sites with other brides:
stylemepretty.com – loads and loads of pictures… the shift-apple-4 feature was made for this site!
greenweddingshoes.blogspot.com – so what if I’m not in socal, I can still enjoy the pictures
ruffledblog.com – tons of creative ideas! I love it!
http://www.swsmag.net – ok, totally not indie, but I love how they interview the bride of each wedding they feature, it’s so interesting to read about the thought behind the details and it makes me consider the “why” of my wedding…

I haven’t really looked at many bridal websites, so I have none to offer, but if that makes me a candidate for tickets to Indie Wed (to be inspired!) than it’s worth a shot, no?

My favorite indie website is http://www.offbeatbride.com
They have a great variety of off-beat wedding profiles from rockabilly to goth and have tons of local and diy ideas for everyone!
Plus, they just launched a new sister-site, http://www.offbeatmom.com for the years following (or years before!) your wedding!
